We are working with partners to showcase vector-borne disease prevention and engagement success stories, like connecting with hard-to-reach audiences, talking about complex topics, responding to emergencies, and more. Sharing these stories can help VBD programs across our region improve community engagement.

This brief guide provides information on how repellents work, when you should use them, addresses common misconceptions, and provides resources and information on currently available insect repellent ingredients.

NEVBD supports a bi-weekly newsletter - NEVBD Announcements - where we share updates on our program activities, applied research results, current vector-borne disease news, and job and training opportunities.

We have launched a new tool that allows vector control & public health agencies in the Northeast US to request remote, interactive technical training for their laboratory and field staff, led by NEVBD-TEC subject area specialists. Topics include mosquito biology, collection, and rearing, tick biology and collection, performing pesticide resistance bioassays, and submitting to the NEVBD Pesticide Resistance Monitoring Program.
